Portrait Book

Okay, so I'm a little behind, but I AM trying to catch up. This is the cover of my new Portrait Book for 2009. I hope to complete Portraits 2010 shortly thereafter. (Just been a little busy)
Can someone please tell me why none of these online services offer a VERTICAL format for a book, instead of just horizontal? SHeesh! Seems like a no-brainer! iPhoto doesn't offer it and neither does Shutterfly. If anyone can recommend a good "online book creating" website that offers a VERTICAL format, please let me know.

"Lady Slava"

Rostislava came back for a second shoot. I get along very well with her and her whole family. She is a delight to work with. This theme was her idea...she was channeling Lady Gaga here, except Rostislava is better looking.

The Microphone

My microphone has turned out to be a popular prop. I seem to shoot a lot of singers, like Natalie here. Singers are usually great to work with because they're familiar with performing in front of an audience....or a camera.

Alicia

Alicia came back for a fourth shoot. You may remember her as "Lara Croft." And for the record.....No, I do not condone smoking, but Alicia came to me with this idea, and I felt that it worked for the shot.

Bubbles

Stephanie came up from San Diego for a second shoot. I ended up photographing her AND her sister. We had a great time working together again.

Riya

Riya and I had a terrific shoot. Everything went very smoothly, and she was so great to work with. I'm sure we'll be working together again soon.

Pretty Woman

Ashley was so sweet and such a delight to work with. She's been modeling since she was 11 years old, so she's a real pro. She made my job easy.

Baby hair

Now I know what you're thinking...."Ryan doesn't photograph babies!" Well, normally you'd be right....but I had to make an exception for little Adison and her fabulous hair. YES, this is her real hair, NO it has not been photoshopped. And yes, it's magnificent hair.....it does that all on its own.

Giulini the Great

Giulini came back for a 4th shoot. We get along very well and enjoy working together.

Birthday girl

Luiza came by on Friday (which was her birthday) with her sister, Stephanie, all the way from San Diego to do a photo shoot. We were all pleased with the results.

Kickin' off the new year...

Had my first shoot of 2011 today. The model's name is Mandana. She's a striking mix of Polish, Persian, and African-American. She was a pleasure to work with and I'm sure we'll be working together again soon.

2010 Wrap Up

Where did the year go? Well, I guess time flies when you're busy....and this has been a busy year! Over 100 photo shoots, 107 to be exact. So here are some of the lovely people I worked with in 2010.
