Beauty and the Beach

Alicia came back for a third shoot with me about 2 weeks ago.....you may remember her as Lara Croft. Well, we took these natural light shots at the house and then we went to the beach to do some more shooting. Unfortunately, early on in the shoot, I was caught off guard by an unexpected wave, and my camera, along with most of my equipment, was drenched with salt water. Needless to say, the beach shoot was cut short. I thought I handled it pretty well, and Alicia and I laughed about it on the way home. Luckily, all pictures were saved and my camera started working again the next day....(although it does need a good cleaning.)
I'd like to add that this photo is taken straight from the camera and there is zero photoshop. Alicia's mom ended up sending me a very nice message saying that this was one of her favorite shots of her daughter EVER, and I think that made the whole day worth while.

Jayna

I took some "Senior Portraits" of Jayna on Sunday because she'll be graduating soon. She was very energetic and kept that genuine smile going for the entire day. Her sister and her Mom were also great assistants and helped out the photographer a lot! It was a pleasure to work with the whole family!

Fitness

Giulini came by for another shoot recently. She really likes to do fitness related shoots.

Alyssa & Dorthy...Then and Now

I photographed Alyssa and Dorthy back in 2007 for Disney Fairies. And I recently photographed both of them again. Look how they've grown in just 3 years! And more photogenic than ever!

Great Great Great

Can't say enough good things about Tiffany. Great face, great hair, great smile, great posing, great model! Tough to take a bad picture of her.

Return Visit

Jessie came by for another shoot....probably her 6th one. I hadn't seen her since I moved, so it was good to catch up. She tells me she keeps coming back to me because I make her feel comfortable.......I hope that's true.

Anne

The last pic of Anne I posted was very well-received, so I thought I'd post another one. This was taken outside, all natural light, at dusk.....my favorite time to shoot.

Sleeping Beauty

Well, this turned out to be a bigger challenge than I had anticipated. The model was fantastic, but the costume was...not so hot. I put between 30 and 40 hours of work into this, which seems to be the norm for these Disney character projects. This is my fourth princess, following Jasmine, Snow White, and Pocahontas. I think Belle will be next.
So, as I mentioned, the model was great, and I think it was a perfect casting choice. I really didn't have to change her face at all. And I was especially surprised to find out that the model's name....was PRINCESS! (No, I'm not kidding.)

Pit Bull

Here's Alexis once again, only this time she brought her Pit Bull....this dog was all muscle, and yes, I was a little scared.

Front Door

I shot this on Sunday afternoon. This is Anne, and she is simply standing in the doorway of my front door. No lights, no reflectors, just the sun. I was pleased with the result, and I'm sure I'll be shooting more pics at my front door. Anne has a classical beauty to her and she had no problem posing or bringing a genuine smile.

Alexis

Alexis came back for another shoot. You may remember her from the famous "cupcake" shot a year ago.

Miss Bolivia Latina

This is Cynthia, who was recently crowned "Miss Bolivia Latina". She was great to work with and never ever got tired. This shot was actually taken in my back yard, and yes, those are my beautiful weeds in the background.

Big Hair Day

This is actually a shoot I did back in November. It went really well, but I got sidetracked with other things and it kinda got put on the back burner. To be honest, there were so many shots that I liked, that I didn't know where to start. Ariana was an awesome model, and I'd work with her again in a heartbeat.

Codie Marie Returns

Codie came back for another shoot this week. She did great.

Just Cruzin'...

Well, I was right....I DID end up working with Miss Cruz again very soon. She came back this weekend to shoot again. She's been helping me experiment with some new lighting techniques using only natural light. She's a blast to work with and always brings the energy!

Miss Cruz has great energy and is an absolute pleasure to work with. I'm sure we'll be working together again very soon.

Alicia came by for another shoot and she wanted to do a "Lara Croft inspired" shoot. She surpassed my expectations.

Alyssa

I worked with Alyssa back in 2007 on the Disney "Fairies" shoot. She came back 2 weeks ago to update her portfolio with some new shots. She's only 11, but she took direction better than most adults I've worked with.
